THE FOUNDATIONS OF OUR SUPPORT

  • A hallmark of our mentoring and coaching support is that it is highly personalised, private and in-depth, where we work with researchers on the challenges and/or issues that they are struggling with, providing them with the ability to view the situation from different perspectives, and work with them towards tangible suggestions and/or options as to how to move forward from this/these.

  • Our support is both educationally and experientially leaning focussed, allowing researchers to better understand their own nature, skills, expertise, and also their limitations and/or areas that need to be further developed and/or nurtured.

  • Individuals that we work with will take away invaluable new skills and competencies that they can further develop and implement over time both in their professional as well as private lives.

METHOD OF DELIVERY
Our method of delivery is via personal ‘one-on-one’ online coaching and mentoring sessions.

Our initial session with researchers generally cover the following aspects:

  • In an exploratory way, we firstly discuss the issues, challenges and concerns that the researcher is facing and then look at prioritising these for what is of highest priority. 

  • From here, we then discuss the options with respect to how we can best be of support, and make a tangible forward plan.


WHO WILL APPLICANTS BE WORKING WITH
You will work directly with with either Fire Sanders or Willem Bouma, both qualified and highly experienced senior trainers, mentors, coaches, facilitators and counsellors. Both Willem and Fire have experience working with researchers from all areas of research, and have worked with numerous applicants and institutions throughout around Europe, Australia and beyond. 

We have over 25 years experience working with leadership development, coaching and mentoring. We specialise in what we do and offer – and Scientific Leadership Mentoring and Coaching is no exception.
